The Range Rover Sport SVR is by no means a boring 4x4 in its standard spec. It's the quickest and fastest product that Range Rover has ever made, but that hasn't stopped the automaker from taking things a step further. With the debut of the all-new Range Rover Sport SVR Ultimate Edition, the British automaker has given the sporty SUV more visual flair to match its incredible V-8 performance.
The Sport SVR Ultimate Edition is mechanically no different than Range Rover's standard offering, packing the same 5.0-liter supercharged V-8 we've grown familiar with over the years. Power output remains unchanged at 575 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque, with a 0-60 mph figure of 4.3 seconds and a top speed of 176 mph. Where this truck lacks in performance upgrades however, it features a ton of unique visual cues that highlight its position as the range-topping model.
The first thing you'll notice is one of the exclusive paint colors that adorns the Sport SVR Ultimate Edition's bodywork. Customers can choose between Marl Grey Gloss, Maya Blue Gloss, or Ligurian Black Satin. All three colors are hand-painted, while the former two incorporate glass flake base coats for a greater shine. Regardless of which color is chosen, the Sport SVR Ultimate Edition is offset by a blacked out roof, mirror caps, brake calipers, and 22-inch split five-spoke wheels. Fuji White accents can be found across the blacked-out components, which further add to the visual contrast of the truck. Inside, you'll find lightweight SVR sport seats, a chrome SV Bespoke B-Pillar badge, illuminated treadplates, and black anodized metal shift paddles.
Ordering books for the Range Rover Sport SVR Ultimate Edition are open now, with prices starting at $141,600. That is quite a bit more than the standard Sport SVR, which rings in at $115,500. Whether or not the visual tweaks alone are enough to justify that disparity, we're sure the automaker won't have trouble moving these things.
